Overview of Our Programs

Thanks to our volunteers and financial support from the public-at-large,

the Thurston County Humane Society is able to:

Neuter Fest Program (felines only): Thurston County Humane Society recently put together a neuter program to support low income pet owners in Thurston County. We are starting with feline neuters, then will look to start offering feline spays and eventually canine spay and neuter services. We are excited to be able to provide this opportunity to members of our community and help with promoting responsible pet ownership.
Our first event was hosted on April 18. 2026 where:
25 cats were neutered
24 rabies vaccines were administered
15 Revolution doses were applied (flea medication)

Pet Food Donation Program: Donate large quantities of pet food to the Thurston County Food Bank for people and their pets in need.
Joint Animal Services Partnership: Cooperate with Animal Services as a member of the Joint Animal Service Commission to stay attuned to shelter needs, and also utilize their assistance in the administration of our voucher program.
